Getting to know you

First, an introductory meeting takes place at school between the parents and the director of the school. During this meeting, parents can indicate their wishes, what needs to be discussed and will be explained how the Picasso School works. Of course you will get to know all ins and outs of the school. This introduction is always initially without the presence of the child, to get a good idea of ​​the situation. If the parents and the school think there is a match, the parents will bring the child, to get to know each other. It is of course about the child, so we think it is important that the child feels at home and finds his or her place with us. After the introductory procedure, the starting procedure will begin.

Starting procedure

It is possible to switch from a primary school eduto the Picasso School twice in a regular school year: after the summer holidays and after the Christmas holidays. If your child comes to our school, with your approval we will contact your child's primary school to ensure a smooth and successful transfer. It should be noted that we often only do this after our own findings. We do not want to receive the child's entire learning history at once, so that we can look at the child with an open mind.

We determine where the development points are based on the data from the primary school, our own initial research, the external reports and the experiences during the trial period. We make agreements with you on this basis, whereby we ensure good coordination between your wishes and the possibilities that Picasso offers has to offer. The agreements are recorded in the starting document, which forms part of the starting procedure. During the school year you will receive regular information about the progress of your child's development at school.
